by Kaiser Edamame

Is this a company that missed earnings or the index of the largest country in Europe?

    From bloomberg this morning:

Jan. 23 (Bloomberg) — German stocks dropped for a seventh day, the longest losing streak since October 1999, after European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet said he’s committed to fighting inflation even after stock markets plunged and the U.S. Federal Reserve cut interest rates.

Hmm. Is it any coincidence that the Euro has gone from 1.34 USD in Aug to 1.46 now? If Bernanke stopped throwing money out of his helicopter, the DJIA would look even worse than this chart does.

You don’t need guns and butter. Just guns, ammo, and a bit if water to get you through the first day. By then you should have gotten all the butter, water, food, women, you want and locked them safely within the walls of your “End Of The World Baller” compound.

    Short SocGen, VaR, compliance.

Long all junior traders who don’t quite get vanilla index futures, but know they don’t know and know enough to cover it up.
