If it takes 10 years to get to Neptune and you sent the USS LoS to Neptune 10 years ago, it would just now be arriving at Neptune, and would not return to earth until 10 years from now.

I smell BS. This Neptune episode casts doubt on the validity of your other sources in this article as well.
